Life Is Coffee...
> A group of alumni, all highly established in their respective careers, got together for a visit with their old university professor. The conversation soon turned to complaints about the endless stress of work and life in general... Offering his guests coffee, the professor went into the kitchen and soon returned with a large pot of coffee and an eclectic assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal -- some plain, some expensive, some quite exquisite.
Quietly he told them to help themselves to some fresh coffee. When each of his former students had a cup of coffee in hand, the old professor quietly cleared his throat and began to patiently address the small gathering... ''You may have noticed that all of the nicer looking cups were taken up first, leaving behind the plainer and cheaper ones. While it is only natural for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is actually the source of much of your stress-related problems." He continued...''Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In fact, the cup merely disguises or dresses up what we drink. What each of you really wanted was coffee, not a cup, but you instinctively went for the best cups... Then you > began eyeing each other's cups....''
''Now consider this: Life is coffee. Jobs, money, and position in society are merely cups. They are just tools to shape and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not truly define nor change the quality of the Life we live. Often, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee that God has provided us.. . God brews the coffee, but he does not supply the cups. Enjoy your coffee!'' The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have...
So please remember: Live simply. Love generously. Care Deeply. Speak Kindly. Leave the Rest to God . And remember - the richest person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least.

Official Naming of the Snakes...and their cages!
Charles of course has had a name since the day Christian got him for Christmas but today Christian finally named the 2 new snakes, George and Shelly. So, Mom and Christian decided to put their names on their cages to make their names "official"

Be Thankful
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,If you did, what would there be to look forward to? Be thankful when you don't know somethingFor it gives you the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitationsBecause they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challengeBecause it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakesThey will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you're tired and wearyBecause it means you've made a difference. It is easy to be thankful for the good things.A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who arealso thankful for the setbacks. GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.Find a way to be thankful for your troublesand they can become your blessings.~ Author Unknown ~
I thought this was appropiate because we do have things to be thankful for now but we also have many difficult times and challenges right now. So hopefully this little poem is true and we will grow and build strength and character!

More snakes and a cute little girl!
Christian got two more snakes this weekend, one male and one female Ball Pythons- this will be it on the snakes for a while!! Here are a few pictures of Christian and Daddy (and Chloe) with the snakes. The snakes are nameless for the moment- apparently this is a big decision that takes longer than a moment or two to think of for a 9 year old boy!
Christian holding the female for the first time
Holding the male- you can't tell in these pics but these snakes are HUGE!!! They are both 4' long and very thick- at least that is huge in my eyes!!!
Daddy and Christian closing the tank- and locking it- while Chloe is playing on the floor.

At the state line- it was very cold and windy!!
